Alber Elbaz fait partie de ces créateurs qui ont laissé une empreinte indélébile sur la mode. Après des passages chez Guy Laroche et Yves Saint Laurent, il reprend en 2001 la direction artistique de Lanvin et propulse la plus vieille maison de couture alors en activité sur le devant de la scène. Pendant quatorze ans, il illumine chaque fashion week de ses collections féminines et poétiques, avant que l’annonce brutale de sa rupture avec Lanvin marque la fin d’une ère pour la maison.
