We are looking for an actress to play a character called “The Widow” in two ambitious music videos which explores bereavement and facing death. The video requires a great deal of depth, courage and range.
To apply you must have these features :
– Easy traveling distance to Huddersfield, West Yorkshire
– Female (trans female is fine but must present as female as the character is based on a real woman who is cisgender)
– Present between 45 and 55 (a bit younger or a bit older is ok, must look old enough to have 3 grown up children and some grandchildren)
– Caucasian – You’d be playing The Artist’s mother and she is white British with fair skin and hair.
– Comfortable wearing heavy makeup and a heavy costume for some scenes (more details upon application)
– Comfortable filming next to the sea for half a day without a trailer (there’ll be a car available to shelter, seating, a runner with blankets and tea on hand at the absolute minimum )
– Comfortable filming in a wood at night for at least half a day without a trailer
– Easy to work with
Despite the music video itself being very theatrical and surreal in nature, we’re not looking for a theatrical performance. We want someone who can deliver an intense performance of someone who is severely depressed due to the early death of her husband.
You will have a bigger role in the second music video but initially you’ll only be needed for 2 half days.
The shoot will take place in roughly six weeks but the exact date will sadly require some flexibility as we’ll be shooting mainly outside and will have to cancel if it rains heavily. However, in return, we are prepared to be flexible with you too and, if another paid job or important audition comes up, we can work around your schedule.
The video will be mainly filmed in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire.
Rate of pay is dependent on experience.
