Teddy Quinlivan won’t stop until she’s made modeling better and then some.

Teddy Quinlivan won’t stop until she’s made modeling better––and then some | models.com MDX

As we’ve said in her Top 50 ranking, there are many models but only one Teddy Q. A statement that rings invariably true. She is many things to many people: a practiced muse for the likes of John Galliano and Nicolas Ghesquière; a defiant critic of the world she inhabits, checking its sexual abuse problem, advocating against prejudices and for transgendered representation; a student of fashion receiving her lessons not from any university, but from prolific designers themselves; and finally, a lover of great clothes, nominated three times over for Best Street Style in our Model of the Year Awards. Her latest Maison Margiela Mutiny fragrance campaign and Louis Vuitton campaign are accomplishments hard-earned. With Teddy’s name on your call sheet, you can be sure she’ll leave her mark. That’s the plan. Read our entire interview with her below.

Steve Lacy: the musician who composes on an iPhone and walks the runway for Virgil Abloh

Guitarist in the group The Internet, a collaborator of Kendrick Lamar and model for Virgil Abloh in his spare time, the young Steve Lacy already has a serious reputation: that of a Californian who’s succeeded at everything. Hot on the heels of Pharrell Williams, he escapes into a lo-fi hip hop, far from the sanitized compositions of his contemporaries.

See Kaia Gerber and Pharrell Williams Walk In Chanel’s Métiers d’Art Collection

The show has traveled to Paris, Salzburg, and Dallas, and last year Karl Lagerfeld showcased his ChanelMétiers d’Art collection in his hometown of Hamburg, but this year he took things back to the Big Apple, at the center of art for the city: The Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Sreetwear state of mind: « It’s not a trend, it’s a portrayal of what I like and how I grew up in Fashion ».

Tia Jonsson and Jean-Jacques N’djoli on the streetwear state of mind – INDIE

In recent years, the fashion circuit has become a melting pot of formerly opposing elements, leaving any sense of aesthetic separation behind. Streetwear, and further the ethics behind it, have thus emerged not so much as trends, but more as concepts aimed at uniting what was once deemed incompatible. Inspired by this, INDIE teamed up with Bread&&Butter by Zalando—a shopping destination devoted to curating the online retailer’s strongest streetwear offerings and providing first access to exclusive product drops—to present to you our very own take on the two. To boost our cause, we recruited Tia Jonsson and Jean-Jacques N’djoli—streetwear leaders in their own right—to not only model selected looks, but to serve one very own, self-styled head-to-toe.…
